September 28: Volunteer Tree Planting

Celebrate National Public Lands Day by helping to restore riparian forests on the Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge.  We will be planting native trees to bring back the floodplain forest community along the Missisquoi River, which will benefit a host of migratory birds, reduce forest fragmentation, and improve forest connectivity.  Meet at the Refuge Black Creek/Maquam Creek Trail parking lot on Rt. 78 in Swanton, VT at 9:30am.

Dress for the weather, wear boots, bring a shovel if you have one; gloves are provided.
