The Winooski Basin includes the headwaters of the Winooski (Stevens Brook and Jail Branch), the Dog and Mad Rivers, Shelburne Pond, the LaPlatte River, and the shoreline areas of Shelburne, Charlotte and Burlington that drain directly to Lake Champlain. Length of Main Stems:
Winooski River: 88 mi (142 km)

Highest Elevation in Basin: 4,393 ft (1339 m) This is Mt. Mansfield, the highest peak in Vermont!
