Green Infrastructure Webinars
Introduction – What is GI?
Presented by Hirschman Water and Environment and Watershed Consulting Associates
Topics covered include an introduction to the manual, GI practices, how to start the planning process, and funding sources available to communities.
Recently the Lake Champlain Basin Program and Watershed Consulting Associates developed a manual on
using Green Infrastructure (GI) for stormwater management for municipal officials in New York’s Lake
Champlain Basin. The manual covers implementation of GI in environments typically encountered by municipalities – village (developed) streets, rural roads, parking lots and hardscapes, and buildings. The manual also discusses planning and implementation, operation and maintenance, and how to get your project funded. LCBP is offering a series of one-hour webinars to explain
the manual’s contents and highlight examples of GI.
