America's First Victory


Click to view America's First Victory (100 KB) On May 10, 1775, Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys crossed Lake Champlain and made history when they attacked and seized the strategic outpost of Fort Ticonderoga from the British. This exhibit, near the spot from which the attack across Lake Champlain was launched, describes this important event and provides other information about this strategic crossroads of the Revolution.
