SUMMARY:Love the Lake Summer Series: Watershed Voices - Giving the Lake a Voice
DESCRIPTION:Join the LCBP for  a summer edition of the Lake Champlain Basin Programs’ Love the Lake series! Wednesday\, August 16th from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at the Barn at Goodsell Ridge Preserve located at 69 Pine Street in Isle La Motte\, VT. \nComposer Glenn McClure will take the audience on a Music-Science journey that explores “Watershed Voices\,” the LCBP Artist-in-Residence Program. Over the next two years\, Glenn will mentor three composers in translating scientific data from Lake Champlain into music. During this lecture/demonstration Glenn will show how data can be converted into sound. \nGlenn McClure is a composer and educator. His research into Music/Science collaborations include the National Science Foundation Artist and Writers Fellowship in Antarctica\, the National Parks Arts Foundation Artist-in-Residence in Hawai’i and musical compositions for the European Space Agency. \nContact mreilly@lcbp.org for more information. \nFlyer \nProject website \n
