September 22: Invasive Species Hike

This year the Rokeby Museum’s annual hike will tackle invasive species with Brian Colleran, invasive species biologist with the State Department of Fish and Wildlife. Follow Colleran on an easy walk as he identifies various green invaders, explores their cultural and ecological contexts and discusses how to manage them.

This free hike begins at 2pm; visitors wishing to see the Museum’s new exhibit or tour the house (at 11:30) will pay admission.  http://www.rokeby.org/ , rokeby@comcast.net or 802-877-3406.

Rokeby Museum is a National Historic Landmark designated for its exceptional Underground Railroad history. The Museum’s 90 acres include open fields, former farmland, and mature woods – along with a variety of invasive species.
