LCBP to Celebrate Clean Water

Grand Isle, VT – The LCBP will participate in the celebration of Vermont Clean Water Week with four events in the Lake Champlain watershed. As the summer begins to wind down, these events offer opportunities to learn and reflect on the importance of Lake Champlain and other water bodies.

Governor Phil Scott has proclaimed the week of August 20 – 26 as Vermont Clean Water Week to celebrate Vermont’s waters and the efforts of businesses, organizations, and communities to protect and restore clean water. Many of these groups are hosting their own events throughout the state.

State of the Lake Coffee Chat

Join LCBP Director Eric Howe for a lively discussion on Lake Champlain and pick up a free poster of the Basin!

Evening Paddle on the Burlington Waterfront
Community Sailing Center, 234 Penny Ln, Burlington, VT, 05401
Tuesday, August 22, 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Join Mike Winslow, author of Lake Champlain: A Natural History and Lake Champlain Basin Program staff for an evening paddle at the Community Sailing Center on the Burlington Waterfront.

BYO canoe/kayak and PFD, or rent from the Community Sailing Center.
