Volunteer Tree Planting

October 24, 2021 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

As the leaves burst into color across the Valley, we are reminded of the incredible role trees play in our watershed. Native trees and shrubs encourage biodiversity, manage stormwater, and challenge climate change.

Join Friends, the Waitsfield Conservation Commission, and fellow volunteers this Fall as we work to restore floodplain forests, riparian buffers, and upland habitat! Sign up to volunteer at one (or more!) of the following events;

  • Saturday, October 23rd – Austin Parcel, Waitsfield – 8:30am to 12pm – 100 trees
  • Saturday, October 23rd – Riparian Buffer Restoration near American Flatbread, Waitsfield – 12:30pm to 3pm – 50 trees
  • Sunday, October 24th – Upland Lawn to Forest Restoration, Waitsfield – 8:30am to 12pm – 100 trees
  • Tuesday, October 26th – Riparian Buffer Restoration, Moretown – 9am to 12pm – 50 trees
