| Abstract: | This report aimed to generate specific assessment information for selected urban watersheds within the greater Burlington area that will assist local, regional, and state planners in developing comprehensive watershed management plans, focusing on aquatic habitat restoration and pollutant loading reductions through stormwater management. Researchers worked to inventory and map natural stormwater conveyance and storage systems, inventory pollution sources in the watershed, identify and map land use by sub-basin, inventory and map detailed soils by sub-basin, establish a clear understanding of water resources in the watershed, identify planned infrastructure improvements, set resource management goals and objectives, determine pollutant reduction needed to achieve water quality goals, and select appropriate management practices that can be used to achieve the goal. |
